the foolish king and clever physician

Long-long ago, in a kingdom, named Champawat, there ruled a foolish king, whose queen was also foolish.

The people of the kingdom were fed up with their foolish behavior and actions. Once, the queen got pregnant. Everyone in the kingdom was happy.

A sweet and fair prince was born to the queen. Seeing the newborn baby, the queen exclaimed, "Oh God! This child is so small. How will he rule this huge kingdom?" medium;"

"He is even bald!" exclaimed the king.  "And look at his face," continued the queen, "he doesn't even have teeth in his mouth." The foolish king called all the physicians of the kingdom and said to them, "prepare medicine for my son so that hair grows on his head, teeth come in his mouth, and he grows up very soon." Hearing this, all the physicians stared at each other.


The royal physician gathered courage and said, "Your majesty" this is impossible."Don't befool us. If you fail to prepare such medicine, you all will be hanged."

He said, "I can prepare such medicine, but it will take a long time." "How much time?" asked the king. "At least ten years. Many medicines need to be prepared." answered the royal physician." ten years!" exclaimed the king.

"What would I do with such a useless son for ten long years?" You can leave the prince under my custody for this span.

If I fail to treat the prince, you can punish me." said the royal physician. 

The king agreed to the proposal. The royal physician took the prince to his house and went to another city.


For the where next ten years, he brought up the prince in his own way. The prince grew up to be a handsome and intelligent boy.


After ten years, when the royal physician handed over the prince to the king he felt very happy and rewarded him. 


Moral: Use presence of mind.
